On 12th April of 2011, SBP Integrasi Rawang had send five students and two teachers to SMK Alam Megah to attend a Solar Boat Briefing as part of BP MyScience Project 2011. We reached the school at 9.45 a.m.. Before the briefing started, we were served with breakfast. Mrs. Salamah Abdul Manaf, one of the GPKs SMK Alam Megah welcomed us with a short welcoming speech. The briefing was given by BP Representative, Mr. Zukifli Othman and Mr. Koh Kian Choon.
This Solar Boat briefing was attended by five schools from Selangor, namely SMK Alam Megah, SMK Saujana Impian, SMK Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, SMK Sri Permata and our school, SBP Integrasi Rawang. Mr. Koh and Mr. Zukifli had explained to all the participant the vision and objectives of Solar Boat Competition. They also gave the criteria on new fresh ideas on boat design and PowerPoint presentation.
This year’s competition was being stricter terms and conditions will be enforced. It is SBP Integrasi Rawang’s first participation in this National competition. Therefore, we expect it to be challenging. In the end, Mr. Koh gave each school three solar panels and a motor. This briefing ended at 11.55 a.m.. We were served with a delicious meal before going back. We reached our school at 1.30 p.m.. Even though, this is new to us, we hope that we can do the best for our school.
